Support Groups

CFIT’s support groups are thoughtfully designed for parents who are seeking guidance, connection, and practical tools as they adjust to the changes brought on by separation and divorce. Rooted in CFIT’s mission to empower parents as they navigate the myriad of challenges of parenting between two homes, these groups provide a compassionate community space where families can move from uncertainty to confidence.

Divorce is more than a legal process—it is an emotional and relational transition that affects every member of the family. Our support groups recognize the complexity of this experience and offer a structured yet welcoming environment where parents can share openly, learn from one another, and gain insight from experienced facilitators. Participants discover that they are not alone, and that the challenges they face are both valid and manageable with the right support.

CFIT’s specialized approach emphasizes skillfulness, emotional regulation, and practical strategies. Parents are guided in shifting from reactive patterns to intentional parenting, learning how to respond thoughtfully rather than from hurt, fear, anger, or frustration.

In a supportive community setting, participants gain:

  • A safe, confidential space for honest conversation

  • Validation and normalization of their experiences

  • Evidence-informed tools and resources

  • Encouragement and accountability

  • A renewed sense of purpose and direction

At CFIT, we believe that with the right guidance and community, families can emerge after divorce healthy, happy, and prepared to create a positive future for their children.

Better Apart, Connected by Co-Parenting: A Support Group for Moms

This group is a safe, supportive, and compassionate space for moms navigating the challenges of co-parenting—especially when conflict or complex relational dynamics are involved. It’s a place to connect with other mothers who truly understand the emotional weight and daily realities of co-parenting, and who can deeply relate to both the struggles and the small victories along the way.

Here, you’re invited to share your experiences openly, exchange practical strategies, and receive encouragement without judgment. Together, we focus on finding grounded, realistic ways to bring more calm, clarity, and emotional wellbeing into the co-parenting experience—so you can feel more supported, steady, and empowered in your role as a parent.
