The Center for Families in Transition provides support to families as they navigate the complexities of divorce.
Our mission is to empower parents and couples as they transition into a two-home family. We recognize that families navigating the divorce process have unique needs and challenges. We aspire to provide supportive, systemic services that center families’ interests and provide them with tools to grow into their new dynamic with integrity before, during, and after divorce.
Services offered at the Center for Families in Transition

CFIT provides court-ordered, court-appointed, and court-involved therapy services including reunification therapy, family therapy, and coparenting therapy. Click here to learn more.

CFIT providers are trained Mental Health Neutrals for the Collaborative Divorce process. Collaborative Divorce prioritizes a healthy co-parenting relationship post-divorce. The process is unique in that it is private, client led, future-focused, structured to allow for honest negotiations, child-focused, and can be cost-efficient. Click here to learn more.

Parenting facilitation and parenting coordination are court-ordered services that focus on reducing parent conflict and increasing understanding. These services support parents' ability to understand and implement their parenting plan. Click here to learn more.

CFIT offers a variety of levels of co-parenting classes aimed at building skills to help navigate important parenting decisions as a two home family throughout children's lives. These classes meet criteria for court-ordered co-parenting classes or can also be accessed voluntarily. Click here to view and register for co-parenting classes offered by CFIT.

CFIT providers offer pro se mediation for divorcing couples who need support developing an agreement outside of the court-system. We also offer support for developing a parenting plan that is customized to family and children's needs now and in the future. Click here to learn more.
